Two men narrowly escape being crushed when a massive concrete segment, known as a “dovela” or “whale,” falls from a section of a train bridge under construction. Security footage shows the men working on a parked vehicle just feet away from the falling structure. The segment crashes down, flattening two nearby vehicles, but both men managed to flee uninjured, with only seconds to spare.
