A mother and her five-year-old son were swallowed by a large sinkhole while she was dropping him off at kindergarten. The boy fell into the pit, and the mother jumped in to save him. Thankfully, a nearby garbage truck driver rescued the boy, and bystanders helped the mother. Both were unharmed, though the car was severely damaged. Authorities believe the sinkhole was caused by erosion and the combined weight of the car and truck.
